In today’s Scripture passage, we see Jesus, in Matthew 20, continuing on with his theme grounded in humility. From a parable of the kingdom of heaven being like the Lord of a vineyard hiring workers to do the labor, to speaking once again about Jerusalem being His destination for suffering and death, hearing an audacious request from two of His disciples (which gets the others all worked up as well), to finally granting physically sight to two men who clearly can see by faith—Jesus teaches us that the way down is the way up in His kingdom
